The Firm Stools

Six brave boys on Point beer with little musical experience (and little to do) formed The Firm Stools in the backwoods of Wisconsin in 1998. The band, now three CDs strong, have created a litany of songs that are just damn good fun to some and just a bunch of senseless crap to others. Always a big hit live, they’re well known for smoking toilets, massive female anatomy props, joke contests and free cans of bean soup.

Listening to a Firm Stools is like listening to a compilation record; they’re all over the place, which definitely keeps them interesting. The songs are often silly, depressing, twisted and meaningless all at once. They claim nothing of originality, but this could well be argued. So crack a beer, torch a cigar and kick back to the infamous Firm Stools, you’ll be glad you did.
